Bitmine Immersion Holds 6.06M ETH Tokens, $14.5B in Crypto Assets
Bitmine Immersion Technologies reports it now controls 4.9% of total ETH supply alongside $14.5B in combined crypto, cash, and marketable securities.
Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) has disclosed that its Ethereum holdings have reached 6.06 million tokens, representing approximately 4.9% of the total ETH supply of 122.2 million units, according to a company announcement. Combined with cash and marketable securities, the firm's total crypto-related assets now stand at $14.5 billion.
The company said it has covered roughly 99% of the distance toward what it internally calls the "Alchemy of 5%" — a self-defined milestone targeting control of 5% of all circulating Ethereum — achieved within just 15 months of pursuing the strategy. The rapid accumulation underscores an aggressive treasury approach that mirrors tactics used by corporate Bitcoin holders but applied to the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

Bitmine also cited a recent theft on the Binance exchange as evidence of the broader crypto sector's resilience, offering six specific reasons it believes the incident demonstrates the industry's underlying strength rather than systemic vulnerability. The milestone positions Bitmine among the largest known single institutional holders of Ethereum, a distinction that carries both strategic influence and significant concentration risk. Analysts note that entities holding near or above 5% of a proof-of-stake asset's supply can exert outsized influence on network governance and validator economics, though Bitmine has not publicly addressed those implications.
